Stewardship

Stewardship means worshiping and serving God by using those gifts He has given us – our talents, our time, and our treasure. At First Presbyterian Church, Stewardship is much more than just money. It is our way of life as Christians. It is participating in the life of the church and being actively involved both within our local church and serving and supporting our many missions here in Georgetown and around the world. For example, it may be teaching Sunday School, singing in one of our choirs, or participating with our children in LOGOS. It is the many projects undertaken by our youth. It may be giving of one’s time at the Caring Place or at the Children’s Advocacy Center, or reaching out to those in need by delivering Meals-on-Wheels. And it is returning a part of our abundance through our pledges to the church in order to support all of our ministries as we do God’s work here in this place.
