COVID-19 Response

The Session at FPC Georgetown has voted to suspend all in-person activities at the church until further notice. This includes worship services, Sunday school, circles, Bible studies, Stephen Minister continuing education, senior seminar, session and deacon meetings, committee meetings, choir and bell rehearsals, and LOGOS. Be assured, however, that we are still active with staff, session, and practicing our worship continuously in albeit different ways.

O.D.T.A.P Committee

O.D.T.A.P (Open the Doors and There are All the People) is a special task force created under the Safety and Security Committee and is closely monitoring the COVID-19 data published by Williamson County. They are using this data to determine the safest time for FPC to return to in-person worship. They also continue to fine-tune their plans for the safest way to come back together again once in-person gatherings are permitted. Check the FPC weekly emails for updates from this committee.

ODTAP presented the following chart to Session on January 26, 2021, which shows First Presbyterian Church’s response to the varying phases during the Covid-19 pandemic. It demonstrates the risk mitigation strategies and activities permissible for each phase. The Covid Criteria are derived from ODTAP’s current gating metrics in combination with those of Williamson County.
