Christianity’s arrival in Ireland and Scotland produced a remarkably rich array of prayers, poems, biographies and devotional texts. Many offer compelling perspectives on the natural world, the path of Christian discipleship and the beauty of creation. Nearly 1500 years later, these texts still speak in distinct voices. Come to this class and explore some of the richness of these Celtic traditions and their impact on our practice of the faith today.
