Adult Elective Class

Reformation Series

A month-long series of Adult Elective classes on the Reformation

Sunday, Oct. 1-29 | 9:40-10:40 AM
Room 113

More than 500 years ago, Martin Luther posted his 95 theses about the church— and its need to reform —on the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. After five centuries, we reflect on what we bring forward from the past that strengthens us and future generations for the coming 500 years of ministry of the gospel of Christ.

As Presbyterians, on Reformation Sunday, the last Sunday in October, we celebrate the tradition that grounds our faith. Here are the classes for the month:

  • October 1: ”The Reformation’s Influence in American History” – Dr. Ken Peters, Retired PC(USA) Pastor
  • October 8: “Singing our Confession Music in the Reformation” Dr. Brian Brewer, George W. Truett Theological Seminary, Baylor University
  • October 22: “The Political Thought of the Reformation” – Dr. David Jensen, Austin PresbyterianTheological Seminary
  • October 29: “Topic TBA” – Dr. Cindy Rigby, Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary
