PW is helping collect disaster buckets for Hurricane Ida relief efforts.
Presbyterian Women are helping facilitate the collection of disaster buckets for Presbyterian Disaster Response (PDA). The relief efforts are in response to Hurricane Ida. As you’ve seen on the news, thousands of homes were flooded in New Orleans and the surrounding area. Clean-up buckets are needed to help residents get back on their feet. Following is a list of supplies needed in the buckets to be sent to Louisiana by Mission Presbytery.
You can either compile a complete bucket with the following supplies, OR you can purchase any of the below items and leave them in the blue bucket under the Mission Wall just outside of the Church Office.
Disaster Clean-up Buckets
- 5-gallon bucket with resealable lid
- 5 scouring pads
- 7 sponges, assorted sizes
- 1 scrub brush
- 5 dust masks
- 50 clothespins
- Clothesline, two 50 ft . or one 100 ft .
- 1 box dry laundry detergent, 50-78 oz.
- 1 pair work gloves
- 2 pair latex gloves (like Playtex®)
- 1 liquid concentrated household cleaner (like Lysol®), 12 oz.*
- 1 bott le liquid disinfectant dish soap (like Dawn®), 25 oz.*
- 1 pkg. cleaning towels (18 reusable, like Easy Wipes®)
- 24-count roll heavy-duty trash bags (33-45 gallon)
- 1 bottle insect repellant (drops or lotion, not aerosol), 6-14 oz.*
