“Advent” means “coming” or “arrival.” During the season of Advent, we celebrate Christ’s coming into the world and watch with expectant hope for his coming again. This year, more than ever, we seek the comfort and reassurance this brings.

To help us focus our hearts and minds on this, the Education and Nurture Committee is planning a family-friendly Advent opportunity. Throughout the month of December, you are invited to visit the north lawn at FPC where our wooden crèche will be set up for you to enjoy and even take a photo with. In addition to the crèche, there will be a prayer station available with a take-home for each family. There is no schedule, so you may stop by when it is convenient for you. Our prayer is that your Advent Season will be one of wonderful expectant waiting that knows the assurance of God’s love and mercy, both now and throughout the year to come.
