Sunday School
Meeting from 9:40 – 10:40 a.m. each Sunday, we offer a variety of learning opportunities for adults and are deeply committed to meeting the needs of families with children and youth.
Sunday School Classes & Bible Studies
On February 14, 2021, Homebuilders will begin a 7-week video series, The God We Can Know, by Rob Fuquay. Travel to the Holy Land with Rob Fuquay and see the places where Jesus stood as he made his “I am” declarations. In this fast-paced, fascinating video, we’ll journey with Fuquay from the Judean wilderness to the Galilean hills and into the heart of Jerusalem. Homebuilders is a discussion-oriented class for adults that covers topics in Christian living, scripture and church history. Formed to meet the needs of adults in the family-building stage of life, Homebuilders welcomes all. This class is led by Karen Jones. If you are interested in attending this class, contact [email protected] for more information.
Youth Wednesdays
Youth Bible Study is held each Wednesday from September to May for those in 7th – 12th grades. Students will have fellowship time and discuss relevant topics in the Bible as well as current events. Please visit our Youth page for more information on what the youth are doing. To find out what virtual opportunities our Youth ministry is offering during the COVID restrictions, please contact our Youth Director, Kelly Ann Seaman at [email protected]
Adult Elective
Whether you are in the first third of life (birth – 35ish), the second third of life (35ish to 60ish), or the last third of life (60ish – 90+), Rev. Harry Brown, retired pastor and Penny Leone, FPC Parish Nurse hope you will come to the five week Adult Elective class titled “Pilgrimage into the Last Third of Life” starting on February 7, 9:30-10:35am via Zoom.
Through many resources such as discussion, scripture, reflection, and the book Pilgrimage into the Last Third of Life by Thibault & Morgan, we hope to find spiritual growth, insight, inspiration, wisdom and hope for our pilgrimage called “Life.”
Surveyors
Celeste Frost will lead the Surveyors’ discussion in February and through the first Sunday in March. We will study both First and Second Thessalonians that way. The letters are full of Paul’s prayerful thanksgiving for the people, his pastoral concerns for them, and some time on their hope for the expected soon return of Jesus. “Faith, Hope, and Love are not human attributes but gifts that spring from God alone.”
Men’s Lunch Bible Study
Sturdy Wanamaker will be leading as the Men’s group begins discussing the book of John this month. There is ample time and space for discussion and questions concerning this writing by John, whom many consider to have been Jesus’ closest friend. Plans are to continue gathering on Zoom until the group is able to meet safely again at church. Contact Ron Place for the Zoom link or [email protected]
Crossroads
The Crossroads class squares the week’s headlines with scripture to determine God’s will and instructions for our daily lives. Our topics frequently delve into the world of politics, newsmakers and scripture’s instruction to build community rather than drive a wedge between us. Join us during the Sunday School hour—even if you’re in your PJs! It’s 2021 after all! True to our name, the class is open to anyone who may be at a crossroads, seeking direction or understanding.

Children & Teens
Youth classes for 7th – 8th graders and 9th – 12th graders which follow a set curriculum, discussing current issues and topics as well as how we as Christians fit into an imperfect world.
Children ages 5 years through 6th grade explore the Bible through stories, crafts and role-playing activities.
Toddlers ages 2 – 4 years old are introduced to the love of Jesus through age appropriate activities while being nurtured in a fun, caring environment. For those who find it hard to sit for a full hour, childcare is offered in our preschool room during both worship services.
Infants from newborns to 23 months are lovingly cared for each week by our childcare staff. Pagers are available to parents in case a little one gets upset while you are away and speakers can be found in the parlor and lobby area for parents who need to stay with their child but still wish to hear the worship service.
