Bill Poe is a retired Presbyterian Church (USA) minister, having served churches in Bryan, Houston and Sherman, Texas, and Little Rock, Arkansas. He retired from St. Philip Church in Houston in 2010. He and his wife Betty Anne attend worship at FPC, where she is a member and currently serves as the chair of the Board of Deacons. Their children and grandchildren live close by in Round Rock.

Since the Poes came to this area in 2012, Bill has served as Stated Clerk of Mission Presbytery, the regional governing body of the Presbyterian Church in central and south Texas, and in transitional pastoral positions here at FPC, at San Gabriel Pres and at Central Pres in Austin. Both Bill and Betty Anne are Stephen Leaders. They received their training in Orlando, Florida, in 1996.
