When a member leaves this life and joins the Church Triumphant, we gather together to worship, celebrating as we remember and give thanks for the person’s distinctive life. We give witness to the resurrection of Jesus Christ which provides us comfort and hope during these times.
Consider the wisdom of writing down your wishes and instructions and sharing them with your family. When you plan and prearrange your own service, you make a final gift of love to them. They will know your wishes and you will have peace of mind knowing your funeral and burial will meet your personal beliefs and lifestyle.
For this reason, First Presbyterian has developed a Funeral Policy to help with these decisions. Please contact the church office if you have questions.

Our historic, tranquil cemetery is located on 20th Street at the south end of Paige Street. Founded in 1879 by the First Presbyterian Church, when the activity of the Chisholm Trail was at its peak, the cemetery captures the past and present history of Texas’ heartland. The setting offers a dignified serenity for eternal rest.
Featuring conventional and urn garden plots, the cemetery is open to all. To inquire about a plot purchase and/or burial, please contact the church office by phone at 512-863-3381 or email. You may also mail requests directly to our Trustees at 703 S. Church Street, Georgetown, TX 78626.
